Waterpark

Did I mention it is hot, hot, hot here in South Carolina? That is why all our summer activities seem to involve water. We were so excited when the Waterpark attached to our YMCA opened up again. I have tried to take the kids at least once a week and we have such a good time. We also love when John Mark gets to go with us.

Fun times at the River

We spent a couple of days at the river after picking up the kids following General Assembly. We got to go out to the sandbar and spend the day. It definitely reminded me of growing up. I wish my dad could have been there to go with us.
FYI - I just noticed the Bud Light can in front of Judah. It is not his.

General Assembly

Our parents were kind enough to keep the kids while we went to Virginia Beach for General Assembly. John Mark was in lots of meetings while we were there, but I did get to spend some time by the pool with some good books. After the conference, we got to spend the night with our friends the Hunters, who now live in North Carolina (so good to see them again). We also went to Williamsburg and Jamestown but only went in the free parts. It was so hot we couldn't stay that long. But we did get Judah a t-shirt. We both also had our first trip on a car ferry (see picture above).

Isle of Palms (again)

We are beginning to like South Carolina beaches more and more. We made another trip to Isle of Palms when my mom was here. We had a good time. Harper went down to the water and back to the tent over and over again and then took a nap after she tuckered herself out. I think that I enjoy the beach tent more than anyone else and can't believe we have not used it before now.

Happy Birthday, Aunt Mandi!

From your SC niece and nephew. We love you!!!

More Wee Ball

Judah and Coach Carl (or Coach "Crawl" as Judah says)
Ready to bat
Contact
His ready position
Waiting for the ball to come to first

I ended up getting food poisoning and missed Judah's last ballgame and party. John Mark was nice enough to take lots of pictures (and videos) for me. Judah really enjoyed playing and really loved getting a trophy! We appreciated that Coach Carl was very laid back and patient with the three-year-olds on his team.

Sprinkler Fun

Uncle Matt and Aunt Sara were nice enough to get Judah a present on Harper's birthday. We finally pulled it out the other day and it is one crazy sprinkler. Judah won't get all that close to it but he loves to make wide circles around it (you definitely still get wet). Harper had no idea what to think about it but just tried to stay out of the way.

Isle of Palms

Congaree River

We took our first trip to the Congaree River with some good friends. We had a great time but I must admit I was really put off by all the flesh-eating flies that attacked me over and over again. I am sure that we will be going back soon.

Folly Beach

We went to Folly Beach in May but the beach was gone because of high tide. I only got a few pictures since the ocean went right up to the parking lot. Just wanted to show Harper sporting the cute tankini she got from Uncle Matt and Aunt Sara.

Sweet Harper

Harper is almost 15 months old! Her nickname is the Tiny Terror because if you don't do what she wants, she will let you know that she is upset with you. She is very much a diva! She is no longer using any bottles and is now completely off baby food. I can't believe how fast she is growing up!

More backyard fun

Doesn't everyone sit around in their backyard and take pictures (the middle one was even taken with a tripod)???
