While we were trying to capture a smile...

...we got this instead:

We did everything but stand on our heads (or did we try that?) to get a picture of JGP smiling. This picture sums up what he thought of most of our efforts.

I'm Two Months Old Today!!!

Just thought I'd share a few of my favorite pics with you. Daddy took these of me this weekend. I knew I would probably be at least three months old by the time he got around to putting them on the blog, so I just decided to do it myself. He's always talking about how smart I am for my age--he really has no idea! He really ought to put a better password on the blog--I'm sure even a one month old could figure it out. Duh!

Feel Good Music

This week has been really hard - it's my first week leaving Judah at home and working full days and other stuff has been going on that has me feeling blue. I definitely am praying regarding said situations but one of my other coping mechanisms has been music. I get in my truck on the way to and from work and crank up the Ipod! Here's what's on my heavy rotation these days.

King Harvest "Dancing in the Moonlight" - This is my personal favorite right now. Just hearing the keyboard/piano? entry makes me smile. I have always loved this song - it makes me think of warm weather and being at the river. Imagine my surprise when it came on a Walmart commercial last night - I just had to pick up Judah so we could dance.

Quiet Riot "C*m On, Feel the Noize" - Everyone my age went through the 80s metal period and this song still remains a favorite. I can remember skating to this song and it still makes me want to move my feet.

Pete Townshend "Let My Love Open the Door" - Okay, so Pete didn't have that distinguished of a solo career and this doesn't even begin to match recordings of The Who, but who can resist such a fun song? I'm going for mood enlightening, not music credibility here. I first heard this song in the final scene of the movie "Jersey Girl" - the movie wasn't that good but I had to go look up the song and I have enjoyed it ever since.

I promise to post next time with what people really care about - pics of the cutest baby in the world!

At long last...

We have grinnage! recorded on film! (actually on digital pixels, but who wants to be that specific?) It took lots and lots of trying (he loved to start grinning as soon as the camera was put away) and at times what I'm sure he considered torture, but we finally have it! Enjoy.
