First Birthday

Judah turned one on December 17th. We had a small party with family and a few friends on the 13th. First picture of the birthday boy

I love birthdays!

He acted like he enjoyed the icing but did not seem as fond of the cake.

Judah, meet Santa!

My mom got us tickets to Fantasy in Lights at Callway Gardens over the Thanksgiving holiday. Judah enjoyed the lights initially but you can tell by the pictures he was fading at the end.

At the end of the trolly ride they had an exhibit where you could go see Santa. At this point, it was way past Judah's bedtime so he didn't get excited about seeing Santa at all. These are the pictures that John Mark was taking while Judah was with Santa. I will post his "official picture" later.

Thanksgiving

To say that things have been nuts around our house would be the understatement of the year (more on that in a later post)! I am finally posting pictures from Judah's first Thanksgiving at his Grandaddy and Granny's house with his Granny's side of the family. He had tons of fun!

For real, don't call DHR

So it has been hard to think about baby-proofing when we have no idea how long we are going to be in our house. All that to say, this video is included to show Judah standing up. Please ignore that he is in front of open cabinets with household cleaners in them. Don't tell on us - he was being supervised!

Moving Right Along

This is the closest that Judah has come to walking so far. It is a longer video, but please don't miss the last 5 seconds. I would love to entertain your guesses as to what he's doing. Oh, and by the way...Happy Thanksgiving!

Turning Circles

Judah and I were playing in the kitchen when JM was cooking the other day. First he was playing with his bowls and before I realized it he was turning in circles. Still not sure why but it sure is cute!

Video week here at Waiting on the light to change

We are spending thanksgiving with my family in Phenix City and Christmas with John Mark's family in Baldwin County. I know that it is hard for JM's family at the holidays when we (Judah) are not there so I am posting some new videos this week to get them through. Our video selections are dedicated to our most dedicated reader - Grandma - who checks out our blog everyday. Here she is last weekend with Judah.

Tagged!

So Brook tagged me to post the fourth photo from the fourth folder on my computer - my computer is so unorganized that I don't even have folders for my photos so this is off JM's laptop.
The picture is of our puppy Edison on my parents' dock, back when we used to pay attention to and take pictures of he and his sister Bella before a certain someone came along. It's not even one of the good pictures either so I am posting a follow-up - the third picture out of my fourth folder:
So I am tagging four new people as instructed:
1) Julie A.
2) Susan M.
3) Leanne H.
4) Michelle J.

Food Photo Contest

Becky and Jawan both posted photos from a contest they have entered where you can win a $500 grocery store card. See the details here. As my entry I am reposting the photo of Judah's first experience with biter biscuits.

The Cutest Little Puppy on the Not So Happy First Halloween

Talk about unwanted visitors! These pics are the only pics of Judah in his Halloween costume taken right before the plague (as JM likes to call it) hit our house. Soon as I got the costume off, he vomited (I am getting sick again just typing this). I was doing the same thing Saturday through Monday and then JM got sick. My mom, who had come to stay with us to nurse Judah through his double ear infections, got sick the same time as JM.
We missed the Halloween carnival at church also. I am just thankful that Judah will not remember this first Halloween!

Happy Birthday, JM!

I was going to post this for your birthday yesterday but didn't get finished, but luckily, Judah is awake screaming at 4:00 a.m. and voila, the slide show is done. Happy Birthday. Come home soon so I can get some sleep.

Go Bama!

Thanks to Uncle Matt Judah gets to wear his UA coat while cheering for the number two team in the nation. (Uncle Matt did give Judah the coat prior to Judah cheering on Bama while they beat up on Georgia - wonder if he regrets it now?)

Saint Matthews, SC

We spent the weekend with our new church family to be. It was a good time of hanging out, worship, and eating! We stayed at a bed and breakfast that was nice and got to move some boxes into the manse (Presbyterian version of the parsonage). I got some pictures of the church and our new house and the renovations they are doing.

In case you haven't heard...

We are moving to South Carolina! (eventually). John Mark has accepted a call as the pastor of the Saint Matthews Presbyterian Church in Saint Matthews, South Carolina. So, we are not leaving until our house sells, but it is now on the market. Anyone interested in a cute townhouse?
We had a yard sale to get rid of some of our stuff - Judah made an excellent assistant!

Nine Months

Judah will be ten months old Friday, but I have to post some pics from nine months. He gets cuter all the time!
