Gurgglin'

So come to find out, our camera will take (low quality) video, too. Here's a quick look at how JGP passes the time when he should be napping.

Loungin' Around

So it seems as if this blog has been completely taken over by a particular 4 month old. All that we do is post pictures of him and talk about him as if the 2 adults who started this blog somehow lost their identities as soon as he arrived. Maybe we'll eventually get back to some of the more interesting blog posts about topics I'm sure you're dying to read about (like this one: Why is it that people with Nextel phones only know how to use them as speakerphones? I'm almost positive that you can hold them up to your ear and mouth like a regular phone and carry on a conversation like a normal person without the rest of the world having to hear all about your personal business.), but as for now, more pictures of JGP will have to suffice. I think he has some sense of his own cuteness in his little bathrobe--he was really putting on a show for the camera last night.

Solo trip

I went to Salem, Alabama this weekend (not to be confused with where they had the witch trials or the place that "Days of our Lives" occurs) for my cousin Daleigh's baby shower. It was the first time that I have traveled overnight by myself with Judah. Judah and I had a good weekend. I only changed a couple of diapers and only got to hold the baby when I was feeding him - Granny wanted to get all her time in. My dad chauffeured us around all weekend and Judah spent lots of time laughing at his Uncle Matt. Good stuff!

Hungry man

We are now feeding Judah some rice cereal. He doesn't quite get why we keep jamming the spoon is his mouth and then taking it away. I think he is starting to catch on, but I am afraid he is going to be a messy eater like his mama and Aunt Julie...

Yes sir, that's my baby!

It is intimidating to have professional photographers for in-laws and a husband who is an amateur photographer (who takes multiple pictures so that he can play with how the light looks - what is that?!?!) Thus, you don't see many pictures that I have taken because they end up looking like these:

Yes, part of JM's head is missing!

But the Saturday before Easter, Judah and I were hanging out while JM worked in the yard and I took these. I guess Judah is so cute it doesn't matter how bad the photographer is!

The onesie is one that Noelle Glaze designed. John Mark says boys are not supposed to wear yellow stars but I think he looks adorable.

Happy Anniversary, JM!

I can't believe it has been five years! I am just as shocked as everyone else that we ended up together but can't imagine life any other way. It's an amazing story, the way that God brought us together, and whenever I have those times of doubt about where He's leading me in my life, it's a sweet reminder of his providence and plan thus far. It has truly been a privilege to walk through these last five years with you. I'm encouraged and inspired by what God has done in your life and continues to do. I can't wait to see what the future holds. You are a fantastic husband, and now father. I love you more than I could ever say (and much more than my actions most of the time would indicate). Thanks for putting up with my craziness!
