Wow!

My mother-in-law sent an email last week with the two pictures attached. In both of them, JGP is sitting in his car seat. The first picture is from the day we came home from the hospital and the second one is from the first week of September. JGP has grown so much!

It looks like he will have his daddy's long legs instead of his mom's short and squatty ones. Thank goodness!

Vital Statistics

We took JGP to the doctor yesterday for the nine month checkup. His ear infections have cleared up and the rest of the visit went very well. He got two shots and was not so much a fan of those - he did that thing where he holds his breath for awhile with his mouth wide open and then erupts. They also pricked his finger to test his iron - JM had to leave the room for this one of course (see here). Again, JGP was not a fan - he gave me the "how can you let them do this to me?" look. So sad!
Here's the numbers:

Height: 27" (50th percentile)

Weight: 18 lbs. 8 oz. (25th percentile)

Head circumfrence: 18" (50th percentile)

Take me out to the ballgame (Phenix City style)

We had OMPC night at the Barons and even though it was obnoxiously hot JM and I though we would take JGP to his first baseball game. Our good friend Gayle decided to join us.
Here's me, Gayle, and the bambino at the beginning of the game:

Here he is intently studying the game in his cute baseball outfit:

And here he is at the end of the night:

JM said that JGP looked like he was from Phenix City. I don't think he meant it as a compliment - I think that he was trying to insult my cosmopolitan hometown.

Beach Pics

I know that when you are looking for potential spouse that you should consider that person's values, character, and all that other good stuff. However, I also would add one thing to the list: are his or her parents professional photographers who will allow you to run onto the beach at the end of one of their beach sessions and get a few pics snapped? You can't beat it!

Here's a few samples - and yes, my son is now a drooling fool (check out his outfit)!

Forward Motion

After a few weeks of rocking back and forth and inching his way backwards, we finally saw Judah's first efforts at "crawling" today. We had already planned to hit a few yard sales tomorrow morning. Now we know just what we need to look for: baby gates. Here's a short video of one of his trips:

If you zoom in very close you can see a billion little black dog hairs on the carpet. (Please don't zoom in very close and do that!)
