We had a wonderful time celebrating Christ at SMPC this Easter.  It was a little cool and I ended up wearing my winter coat to the not-so-sunrise service at the courthouse.  Thankfully, it warmed up and the kids didn't have to wear sweaters.

So, what do you do when your best friend offers to reserve a time-share for the two of you to take a vacation close to where you live? You immediately make childcare arrangements and scream "YES!" Julie and I spent a few days in Edisto. We started our trip by run/walking a 5k (so out of character for us). We spent the rest of the trip either eating or sitting on the couch. One day we spent 30 minutes at the pool and then Julie did go exercise another day. It was really relaxing! I really enjoyed doing nothing with Jules and hope we can take a trip to do nothing again soon.

I am used to the kids dancing around when John Mark watches the new Body Pump releases. This time, both kids decided that they needed to work out while he watched it. They both actually were able to follow the video pretty well, in case the YMCA is looking to hire any new instructors...

Our friend Garrett had a Cars birthday party at the beginning of March. The kids had so much fun despite some windy weather!

Pinterest Valentines

I saw these valentines on Pinterest and decided to do them for Judah's class. They turned out really cute, but there were two things I just didn't think about when I made my decision. One, you are not supposed to give kids anything with nuts at school (even though no one in Judah's class has a nut allergy). Mr. Goodbar is full of peanuts as indicated on the label. Second, it is not usually a kids' candy. One of the moms in Judah's class thanked me later. Her son didn't like the candy bar, but the mom was happy to take it off his hands. Lesson learned for next year.

Harper tried to drink from my water bottle on the way home from the gym. She kept saying "I spill, I spill." I guess so.

Happy nine years to my favorite husband ever! Life has not been what I expected, but I am grateful for every day of these past nine years.

Puzzle Time

Harper has been really into puzzles lately. She likes the puzzles that are age-appropriate. She likes the puzzles that are too hard for her even more. John Mark and I have been putting together some puzzles lately :-).

Myrtle Beach Vacation

We went to Myrtle Beach in January. This was our second year going with our moms. We had so much fun and spent lots of time at the indoor pool and lazy river. JM and I are so thankful that our moms go with us, so we can have some time for just the two of us. I am also thankful that Judah and Harper enjoy their grandmothers so much!
